for an easy and fast PSO control
Calibri print control Pro is based on the standard version of Calibri print control. In addition, it shows valuable functions as well as a PSO standard-compliant evaluation of the measuring data.
Quite some years ago, the German Association Print and Media (Verband Druck und Medien, VDM) introduced the certification according to Process Standard Offset Printing (PSO). basiCColor's programme certify is integrated in Calibri print control Pro. This is the software which is used by VDM for a certification process. Therefore, Calibri print control Pro enables every printing company to prepare for a certification as well as to check and keep the standard. Even without official certificate the possibility is given to evaluate the print behaviour to comply with the standard.
A major point in this context is control according to ISO 12647-2 which describes the international standard for offset printing. The standard defines the colour values of the process colours, dot gain and spread tolerances. As the integrated PSO control is based on basiCColor's certify, it is possible to check the data measured and by this the complete printing machine being within PSO specifications without switching between different programmes. For any relevant and queried parameters a graphical evaluation is available.
When changing between the different screens revealing information may be displayed, for instance if the printing machine's behaviour differs from the necessary standard values.
Another important feature is the density forecast. This enables to determine whether changing of end densities could lead to compliance with PSO requirements.
Any important and relevant data can be passed and saved to an extensive PDF report.
